Celebrity Culture and The Queen

I’m personally not a fan of Celebrity Culture, I think we place too much power in Celebrities and the world revolves around them.

The Queen dying reminds me that sometimes a famous person death can have a profound affect on people, she has been The Queen for most of the worlds life, including all my life, and someone that has been very much a part of my life indirectly, I went to Bowes Lion School, often went to The Queen Mother’s theatre, say The Queen, Prince Charles (now King Charles III) Camila (now Queen Consort) and others.  So although I am no sure the monarchy in it’s current form is what we need, I do understand how important a figurehead like the Queen was, so it’s a sad day her death.

May be an image of text that says "IF YOU'RE NOT A FAN OF THE MONARCHY, I RESPECT YOUR OPINION AND I WILL RESPECT YOU EVEN MORE IF YOU'RE ABLE TO KEEP YOUR OPINIONS QUIET FOR THE COMING DAYS. HAVE NO WISH TO BE ASSOCIATED IN ANY WAY TO ANYONE UNABLE TO SHOW THE UTMOST RESPECT AT THIS TIME. THE QUEEN WAS A MOTHER, A GRANDMOTHER, PART OF A FAMILY. SHE WAS HUMAN. YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIKE THE MONARCHY. BUT RESPECT THAT SOMEONE WHO HAS DEVOTED THEIR LIFE TO THIS COUNTRY HAS SADLY PASSED AWAY."
